There is something about miniatures that have always stolen my heart!
Between the cuteness factor and the resemblance of each miniature’s real life’s reference – one thing is certain, miniatures are here to stay.
Miniatures in jewelry can be found centuries back, examples of mini-portraits and animal shapes were very common and are still found and sold today (Some of them in auctions, others are only for display at different museums)
My personal ancient favorites can be seen here in my Pinterest board:
My take on miniature jewelry, is always adding some humor to the design. A boat and the fish that ‘swim’ around it, or a necklace with a cat a mouse and a piece of cheese is just a fun way to add some cheekiness to your jewelry wardrobe.
Have an idea of a miniature that needs a jewel translation? Leave me a note, we will make it come to life J
